The Brief
The initial challenge was to launch iD Fresh Foods' new Butterstick, a novel food-tech product. The client needed a short, impactful video that would clearly communicate the product's unique value proposition. The foundational script aimed to solve the universal problem of messy buttering by showcasing the Butterstick's convenience. The goal was to create a concise and memorable introduction to "the better way to butter", establishing an immediate connection with consumers looking for practical kitchen innovations.
Challenges & Approach
To elevate the script from a simple product demonstration to a visually compelling story, I stepped in as the creative bridge. My challenge was to translate the script's core message into a rich sensory experience. I developed a comprehensive pre-production vision, meticulously curating the film's aesthetic. This included defining a warm, aspirational mood with "beautiful soft morning lighting" and a color palette of "beige props with pops of yellow and orange". By storyboarding key visual contrasts, like the shift from a dull, monochrome "problem" shot to a vibrant, colorful "solution," I crafted a narrative that made the product's benefits feel both tangible and delightful.
The Result
The final video is a direct reflection of this detailed creative direction. The initial concept was transformed into a polished and engaging narrative that flawlessly captured the product's innovative spirit. My approach ensured that every element, from the "English Breakfast Spread" to the "Acoustic Jazz" soundscape, worked in harmony to tell a cohesive story. The result was a sophisticated and "short and sweet" launch video that not only demonstrated the Butterstick's function but also positioned the iD brand as a forward-thinking leader in food technology, all while making the process look effortlessly cool.
